01Who is responsible
Stellarwind, the publisher of SwapFS and of swapfs.com, decides why and how the data described here is processed. You can reach us at teo@swapfs.com.
Creem, which sells the licence as merchant of record, processes your purchase data as a controller of its own. See its Privacy Notice.
02Your files stay on your computer
SwapFS is local. Search runs in a separate process on your computer, the index is encrypted at rest, and searching makes no network call. SwapFS has no account, no analytics and no crash reports, and we do not receive your files.
03What the app sends
SwapFS goes on the network only for these calls:
- the licence check when the app launches;
- the list of agents, when you open the AI settings;
- your voice commands, sent to TypeSafe with your own key;
- the speech model, if you choose to download it;
- the storage you connect, to reach your files there.
The services you connect, such as your storage and your voice provider, process what you send them under their own policies.
04Visiting the website
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts swapfs.com and docs.swapfs.com. It receives the technical data any website receives: your IP address, your browser and device, the page you ask for and the time. We use it to serve the sites and keep them secure, which is our legitimate interest.
The websites have no analytics and set no cookies. They load their fonts, images and scripts from themselves, never from another site.
05Buying a licence
When you choose to buy, our server opens a checkout session with Creem and sends you to its checkout page. To protect that step from abuse, it counts the attempts made from your IP address over a minute. You enter your payment and billing details on Creem's page, never on swapfs.com. Creem keeps them under its own notice and sets its own cookies there.
06Support
When you write to us we keep your message and our reply to answer you. Please do not send secrets such as passwords or keys.
07Who processes your data
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the websites and runs the checkout step on our instructions. Creem is a separate controller for your purchase. We do not sell your data.
Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States, so the technical data of a visit may be processed outside the European Economic Area.
08How long we keep it
We keep data only for as long as its purpose needs it, and as long as the law requires us to keep accounting and tax records. Support messages are kept while they help us answer you. After that we delete them.
09Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict its use, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to its use. Write to teo@swapfs.com. You may also complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live or work.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. The Terms of use govern your use of SwapFS.
