01What the licence is
You receive a licence to use SwapFS, the application. You do not buy the software itself, which stays the property of Stellarwind. SwapFS is not open source. The Terms of use say who sells the licence.
One licence per person.
02Editions
Founder Edition is free to use.
Lifetime Edition is a single payment of $19, the founder price, which becomes $29 later. It does not expire and does not renew: there is no subscription. Updates are included for life.
03What you may do
Use SwapFS on your own computers, for your own work and life, with the storage, accounts and agents you connect to it.
04What you may not do
- Share, sell or publish your licence.
- Sublicense, rent or resell SwapFS.
- Bypass or tamper with the licence check.
- Copy the software, or take it apart to read how it works, except where the law gives you that right.
05The licence check
SwapFS checks its licence when it launches. It is one of the few network calls the app makes, and the Privacy policy lists all of them.
06Your own services
SwapFS works with storage, agents and a voice service through your own accounts and keys. Their subscriptions and fees are separate and are not part of your licence.
07When a licence ends
A Lifetime Edition licence does not end by itself. It ends if its payment is reversed, as the Refund policy describes, or if it is used against these terms. SwapFS then goes back to Founder Edition: nothing is locked, hidden or deleted. Questions about your licence go to teo@swapfs.com.
